Check out The Polka Dot Dragon Lantern Festival - a free community-based event that brings people together to make and experience festival art in mid-winter. Whether you are an artist, a cyclist, or resident at large, get out and experience the magic, be a part of the festival.
FRIDAY | FEBRUARY 9th
Ride in the Polka Dot Dragon Lantern Festival Parade on Friday, February 9th. Decorate your bicycle with lights, lanterns and more, wear a costume and join the Deep Sea Dreamscape Parade floating down Baker Street. Meet at Hall Street Plaza at 6 pm.
SATURDAY | FEBRUARY 10th
Join our frosty yet fun group ride to Lakeside Park on Saturday, February 10th. Meet at the Nelson Visitor Centre, Railway Station at 4:30 pm, ride departs at 5:00 pm. Try winter riding during Go By Bike Week with your neighbours and be a part of the festival at Lakeside Park!

Guided instruction to create anglerfish lanterns for the Deep Sea Dreamscape. $10 per person. All materials and guidance are provided. Appropriate for ages 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

You Never Bike Alone - a 2007 documentary film exploring Vancouver's vibrant bike culture and its development as a viable form of transport. Tickets $5.
Followed by a Critical Mass Bicycle Ride on Nelson's city streets. It's Halloween weekend so come in costume. Bike lights mandatory.

Members of the West Kootenay Cycling Coalition are invited to attend the 7 pm premier at the Nelson Civic Theatre this Thursday, June 29th.
We'll meet up after the film and start building bicycle culture right here in the Kootenays.

Biking uphill for 10KM isn't your thing? Then try the Green Link Glide! Bike from Rossland to Trail on the South Kootenay Green link route, and see how many times you need to pedal.
